Accuforce is Terumo’s non-compliant PTCA balloon for high-pressure post-dilatation of stents and dilatation of resistant, calcified lesions. A triple-layer balloon (soft elastomer inner and outer layers over a polyamide core) gives a rated burst pressure of up to 22 atm with minimal diameter growth, so the balloon stays at the intended size during stent optimisation; the flexible 0.43 mm tip, thin short markers and hydrophilic shaft improve re-crossing of deployed stents.
