The Hi-Torque Balance Middleweight is the archetypal workhorse coronary guidewire: a 0.014″ nitinol core with a 3 cm shapeable tip, a 0.7 g tip load and a hydrophilic coating over the distal 27 cm that balances steerability and tip durability. BMW Universal II adds a uniform shaft for use with any OTW or RX device. Lengths 190 and 300 cm; also available in the Elite version with improved torque response.
