CGuard EPS is a self-expanding nitinol carotid stent covered with the MicroNet — a PET micromesh (20 µm fibre, 150–180 µm pores) that traps plaque against the vessel wall and reduces post-procedural embolic events compared with conventional open-cell stents, while the nitinol frame keeps the flexibility needed in the carotid bifurcation. Delivered on a 6F rapid-exchange system through an 8F guide or 7F sheath, with distal embolic protection.
