Penumbra RED and ACE aspiration catheters are large-bore reperfusion catheters for direct-aspiration thrombectomy (ADAPT) in acute ischaemic stroke, used with the Penumbra ENGINE aspiration pump. The RED family (43, 62, 68, 72) offers inner diameters from 0.043″ to 0.072″ with a hybrid braid-and-coil shaft and soft, atraumatic tip for navigation to M1/M2 and beyond; delivered through a long sheath such as Neuron MAX 088.
