The Boston Scientific PT family (Choice PT Floppy, PT2 Moderate Support, PT Graphix Intermediate) are polymer-jacketed hydrophilic coronary guidewires with a nitinol core for kink resistance and shape memory, used for tortuous vessels, tight stenoses and sub-total occlusions. The Ice hydrophilic coating reduces friction over the distal 30 cm. 0.014″, 185 and 300 cm.
